My design agency was hired to shape the vision of a new modern camp ground on Canada’s #1 surf beach, Cox Bay, in Tofino. Renowned for its natural setting and spiritual energy, this unique stretch of coastline draws recreational lovers from all around the world. Surf Grove is an elevated camping experience with high-quality amenities and genuine customer service. With over 160 fully serviced sites as well as custom cabin and RV rentals, the brand had to represent a bold vision and a welcoming community rooted in surf culture.Role:

The name Surf Grove rose to the top of dozens of names I put forward to the client. Given the camp ground acreage is the largest mass of land on Cox Bay Beach, it made sense to pay homage to its lush old growth rain forest. Juxtaposing the two words 'surf' and 'grove' created a new world completely unique to their business.
