Portwood

Portwood is a $1.1 billion dollar master plan real estate development positioned in the center of a vastly untouched 23 acre green district and optimally connected to the thriving and trendy community of Port Moody, British Columbia, Canada. Portwood is a rare exercise in constraint. An ode to Mother Nature. The client’s intention was to develop the land surrounding the residences as little as possible. Welcome to a conscious approach to living where modern architecture thrives in balance with its natural habitat.

It was crucial for the brand to visually communicate a story of ‘forest first’. Homebuyers valued the efforts to construct the entire district of Portwood using sustainable practices, and having it embedded into a natural landscape of parks, trails and forest environments. The ambitious project achieved density without sacrificing precious habitats.
The brand was designed to be active, dynamic and full of adventure. It had to, in symbolic form, embody a sense of pride and purpose for the Portwood community. Choosing to live here means choosing to live in harmony with the environment.
